Anxiety starts to augment. Few days from now, we’ll be having our Nursing Licensure Examination. But the lecturers always remind us to uphold mild anxiety in taking the Board Exam because this encourages retention and good concentration. The question is HOW?
November 29-30, 2009 will blotch the date of final judgment; a stepladder to obtain our license to practice nursing professionally and legally. I just got my room assignment and gladly it’s just a few blocks away from our house. God is really good. We won’t have nuisance finding the school on the day of the examination and no frets of answering in the wooden holed chairs in public schools.
More than 95,000 hopefuls will be taking the Board Exam and yet only 10% of those who will pass will eventually have a job in the future.
You think they’re auspicious? NO. Before falling into a job, they’ll have to pay for becoming a volunteer and when admitted, they’ll just be paid 7000Php.
That’s the sad reality of Nursing in the Philippines. You spend millions in education but earn nothing afterwards. No choice for the Filipinos, they’ll settle abroad. Practical as they say.
I hope to pass.
God bless me.
