Interview at FEU-NRMF

February 6, 2011

2 doctors, 4 applicants

doctor: Richard, why do you want to be a doctor?

me: Since childhood, it's been my dream to become a doctor. I can even remember when our first grade teacher asked us to draw on what we'd like to become when we grow up. I can recall sketching an image of a man wearing long, white robe with stethoscope on both ears. As I grew up, I want to experience the feeling of wanting to go home at the end of the day and say to myself that today I've helped someone and saved someone's life and that someone will remember me because I did something right.

doctor: Don't you want to pursue nursing?

me: I've tried to apply to different hospitals but they never gave me the opportunity to become a nurse.

doctor: What is one quality that you think a doctor should possess?

me: Respect. (why did I say that???) They are very passionate with what they are doing that's why a lot of people are looking up to them.

doctor: Why should we accept you? Can you name three qualities that you have? Convince us.

me: I am responsible, hardworking and goal-oriented
