Support System In Med School
Having a good support system is necessary in medical school. You will eventually have a million reasons to quit and question yourself why you chose this path. Ask every medical student about this and I'm sure they will all agree with me.
Transferring to Baguio from Manila was not easy for me. I have basically established my life in the Metro. My friends, family, relatives are there. But due to some turmoils, it left me no choice but to look for another medical school that time since I really wanted to pursue my medical career. Everything was basically new to me.
Being the shy type of person that I am, I didn't have that much acquaintances. I would go to class, listen to the lectures that seem to be endless and go home during the break. Right there and then I wanted to quit, pack my bags and go home. But my eagerness to continue what I've started became stronger every time I think of my inspiration -my family.
The beginning is always the hardest. That was the note that I always say to myself every time I think of quitting. Then I met these awesome people who made me feel at home. They have helped me, in a way, cope up with all the stresses in my new life and never failed to pull me up whenever I feel like giving up. They are indeed a blessing.
